Through the funding from Latter-day Saint Charities (LDS), MedGlobal implemented the Health Post (HP) project from December 2021 to April 2022. The aim of the project was to “Improve the health statuses of Rohingya refugees living in Camp 24” and “improve access to preventative nutritional and mental health services for refugee families”.

This Endline evaluation was conducted to evaluate the project’s implementation strategies and to measure how the program impacted the lives of the targeted beneficiaries by assessing the project’s achievement on its outputs and outcomes. The results of this Endline evaluation are vital in determining the success of the just concluded intervention in achieving the project objectives.

The Endline evaluation utilized the mixed methodology approach to assess the extent to which the project contributed to achieving its proposed results, in which the project was I) Improving the health statuses of Rohingya refugees living in Camp 24 and ii) improving access to preventative nutritional and mental health services for refugee families. This mixed methodology approach involved the use of both qualitative and quantitative data collection approaches. A sample of 426 samples was randomly selected regardless of whether they had received services from MedGlobal HP clinic or not and were targeted for interviews. Two (2) Focus Group Discussions (FGD) were conducted with community members and Community Health Workers (CHW) in camp 24 where the HP project was implemented to further understand the different components of health provision provided by MedGlobal in the camp. An additional 2 sessions of Key Informant Interviews (KII) were conducted with an HP doctor (n = 1) and a Community health leader, locally referred to as “Majhi” (n = 1). We cannot forget the contribution of MedGlobal Bangladesh staff who ensured that this evaluation was a real success.
