MedGlobal’s impact in Colombia

MedGlobal in Colombia.

Colombia is facing a growing healthcare crisis driven by internal conflict and large-scale migration. Thousands of migrants, primarily from Venezuela, are crossing into Colombia and through the Darién Gap in search of safety and stability. Many are left without access to even basic healthcare.

MedGlobal has been saving lives in Colombia since 2019. As migration continues, we provide critical healthcare services to migrants, refugees, and underserved communities who would otherwise go without care.

How is MedGlobal Helping Colombia?

MedGlobal operates in Cúcuta, near the Colombia-Venezuela border, providing primary healthcare and specialist services to migrants and vulnerable local communities. Our teams deliver consultations, medications, and follow-up care through local staff and visiting medical professionals.

We also provide medical services at the Medellín Bus Terminal—a key point for migrants traveling to or returning from the Darién Gap. There, our healthcare teams offer urgent care, rehydration, and basic medical support to people in transit.

Through Resiliency Medical Missions (RMMs), MedGlobal deploys healthcare professionals to deliver specialized care in communities with little or no access to healthcare.

As migration increases, MedGlobal remains committed to supporting migrants and displaced families with lifesaving care.
