Gaza/Palestine

Help us provide lifesaving care in Gaza today.

MedGlobal in Gaza.

Over 2.1 million people in Gaza are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Every person analyzed is projected to face acute food insecurity, with 1 million already at emergency levels and 470,000 experiencing catastrophic conditions—the highest level of food insecurity.

The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate as Israeli bombardments cause rising casualties, mass displacement, and the destruction of homes, hospitals, and critical infrastructure. Access to healthcare, clean water, and sanitation is extremely limited. Severe restrictions and delays are preventing the delivery of life-saving aid. Widespread fear and uncertainty are growing amid warnings of a large-scale ground operation.

Join us in our emergency response efforts and help us deliver lifesaving care to those who need it most.

Nutrition.

As of May 27, only 85 outpatient nutrition treatment sites remain open. Over 92% of children under five and pregnant or breastfeeding women lack access to adequate nutrition due to severe food shortages.
290,000 children and 150,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women urgently need food and micronutrient supplements. Between April 2025 and March 2026, an estimated 17,000 women will require treatment for acute malnutrition, and 71,000 children under five will suffer from acute malnutrition—including 14,100 with severe cases.

Current Projects.

MedGlobal operates 16 medical points and comprehensive health centers across Gaza’s southern, central, and northern regions. These centers deliver primary care, prenatal and pediatric services, chronic disease management, and infection control. We fully support a maternity and reproductive health hospital in the Middle Area, ensuring safe deliveries, emergency obstetric care, neonatal services, and reproductive healthcare.

Our teams treat nearly 2,000 patients daily, with numbers rising to 4,000 in crisis periods. Two nutrition stabilization centers in Gaza City care for severe malnutrition cases, while mobile teams distribute supplements to mothers and children under five to combat acute food insecurity.

Impact Since October 3, 2023.

We also strengthened Gaza’s healthcare system through training, support for critical care units, and surgical services. In 2024 alone, MedGlobal reached 570,307 people. This included 237,872 primary care patients, 66,890 individuals receiving nutrition support, and 1,999 participants in mental health sessions. We completed base construction for a field maternity hospital at Al-Awda and deployed emergency teams during mass casualty events.

Healthcare Landscape.

Overview.

Since October 2023, there have been 792 documented attacks on health facilities in Gaza. The loss of 1,581 healthcare workers and the detention of 537 others has devastated the medical workforce. Fewer than 2,000 hospital beds remain for over 2 million people. Less than half of Gaza’s hospitals are partially functioning, with none operational in Rafah or North Gaza.

MedGlobal has significantly scaled up its work in Gaza:

  • 16 medical points and 3 stabilization centers
  • $12.3 million in medical supplies, equipment, and medications delivered
  • 1,500+ children receive nutrition supplements monthly
  • 7,331 children vaccinated and 24,626 screened
  • 140+ local Palestinian medical staff supported
  • 2,000–4,000 patients treated daily (average 2,500)
  • 28+ US-based medical volunteers deployed
  • 8,000+ polio vaccinations administered
  • 6 shipments of medical and food aid delivered via Rafah and Karam Abu Salem crossings

2025 Services Across All Five Governorates:

MedGlobal continues to serve displaced and vulnerable populations across Gaza with a wide range of services:

  • Primary Healthcare: Antenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care at medical points and health centers
  • Secondary Healthcare: Maternity and reproductive health services at Al-Awda Hospital
  • Mental Health Support: Community-based counseling and psychosocial care
  • Emergency Medicine Distribution: Supplies for Al-Awda and other clinics
  • Nutrition Services: Screening and treatment for children and women facing moderate or severe acute malnutrition
  • Emergency Response: Trauma care, mobile clinics, and rapid health interventions amid ongoing conflict

Appeal for Support.

Only 7 of 15 field hospitals are functional—just one fully. Over 60% of primary health centers are non-functional, and only 38% operate at limited capacity. Around 10,500 to 12,500 patients, including more than 4,000 children, urgently require evacuation abroad. Yet between February and June 2025, only 1,980 patients and 2,968 companions have been evacuated. Since March 18, just 299 patients and 445 companions have left—far fewer than needed.
