Sara and Maria’s
Author | kaleandflax

In the heart of Gaza, amid the shadows of conflict, two little rays of hope shine brightly.
Meet Sara and Maria, twin sisters who embody resilience and courage.
After enduring an extensive struggle for survival, they were finally discovered beneath the debris, their bodies stained with blood. This prolonged ordeal had taken a toll on their health, leading to severe malnutrition. The outreach team from MedGlobal stumbled upon them during their humanitarian efforts, recognizing their malnourished state and promptly inviting them to a MedGlobal medical point for treatment.
At the clinic, their condition was dire, with noticeable paleness, and difficulties in walking, maintaining balance, and even breathing. The MedGlobal team provided comprehensive care, including administering “Ready to Use Therapeutic Food” (RUTF) to deliver immediate nutrition, along with essential foods and vitamins to support their recovery. A series of necessary medical examinations were performed to monitor their recovery progress. Regular follow-up visits every two days showed encouraging signs of recovery, marking the beginning of their journey back to health.
Their story is a testament to the power of your donations and the impact of collective kindness. But remember, Sara and Maria are not alone in their fight. They stand for thousands of children in Gaza facing malnutrition, each with their own story of survival and hope.
Your support can weave more stories of hope and recovery. By joining forces with MedGlobal, you become part of a movement that reaches out to the most vulnerable, transforming despair into hope, one child at a time.
