Two years on, MedGlobal continues to aid Rohingya

Since the mass exodus of Rohingya from their homeland in 2017 due to military and government persecution, MedGlobal has been working to provide humanitarian aid to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh by sending weekly Medical Providers to service around 1,300 patients per week. MedGlobal also sent a team of volunteers to train local healthcare providers in Helping Babies Breathe – an evidence-based, hands-on program developed to reduce neonatal mortality in resource-limited environments.

August 25, 2019, marks the second anniversary since the Myanmar military launched a violent military campaign against the ethnic minority, forcing over 740,000 to flee into neighboring Bangladesh. U.N. officials and diplomats have labeled it as ethnic cleansing and genocide. The conditions under which Rohingya refugees live has only worsened.
